Posting Instructions (click the “Back” button to go back to DOCs)
If you are
posting documents to this page follow these instructions. The instruction sequence might be a little
different depending upon the Operating System you are
using (NT, Win2000, Win XP).
1) Access the
“Docs” share.
“Network Neighborhood” of browse “My
Network Places”
Entire network
Microsoft Windows Network
WMC_Net
SEBT
Select “Docs”
…or, if you
can’t find SEBT in your list…
Start
Run, type in “cmd.exe”
…at the prompt type “net
use x: \\192.231.192.199\docs” (you can cut and paste this command)
My Computer
Select “Docs on 192.231.192.199”
2) Copy your
documents into the folder.
You can either copy your documents
into the folder or…
“save as”
from Word to the Docs repository.
Note. Name syntax is
IMPORTANT!! Please save files as “rubric
course number file name with no spaces.doc”
(example. Coms210spring2003syllabus.doc)
3) Edit the
“Docs.htm” file.
In the Docs folder right click on Docs.htm, click “Edit” (Word will open
the Docs folder)
Follow the course name and number
example in the Docs document.
Type the Description of the file
under the appropriate course (add as necessary)
Create a hyperlink to the document
Highlight the text to be
linked
Right click
Hyperlink
In the
Address Box type in the correct filename (example. Coms210spring2003syllabus.doc)
Click on “Target Frame”
Select “New
Window”
OK back to the “Docs” document
Save the file and exit
