i've lost all my M&Ms and i don't know how to get them back

which makes me lie under my covers and get warm
fall asleep
wake up
depressed
wondering
why my cell phone is blank

and why the earth has stopped                for me/creepy
and where did all my friends go?
who has the energy to care anymore?
wandering the vast empty day in a daze looking for my M&Ms
calling out --
something answers
but never what i'm looking for

the M&Ms seem never to be found
but sometimes i find one. and another.
sometimes, after i go on a trip...
i come back and i have a jar        one-fourth full     of delicious and colorful M&Ms!

and then they're immediately gone
do i give give them away? or do they just vanish?
do the vultures show up at my door and steal the colors?

i fall asleep
i don't wake up from my daze during the days
and i've again lost all my M&Ms
and i still don't know how to get them back

so i go lie under my covers... and stay cold.
