Seasons

Meaningful drifts
Annoying isn’t it.
The thought of staying with that one person
The thought of your favorite season leaving
The leaves falling from their beloved friend
The ground embracing all of summer’s work
The thought of you leaving my arms
Falling away and drifting to another that will undo everything of us
The thought of the ponds freezing over
A clear sheet of reflection staring back at you
The thought of our memories becoming memories
Everything slowly slipping away
The leaves scattering among the cold, hard ground
Flakes fall so innocently and sweet
The first kiss leaving the mid-day rise
The thought of the sun falling sooner ending the day
Evening eventually turns into night
The sun is left dim behind the clouds
The thought of you turning away from me
Closing another chapter
The moon showing nature seeping back
Soil turning moist, roots re-growing
The thought of you starting a new life
The thought of you turning back to me
The cool breeze working its way through the mountains
The soft whispers singing to the hills
The way your voice echoes through my body
Your lips cooling to me
The winter breeze is going, rain showers me
The smell of spring refreshes the soul
Meaningful drifts around the corner
